Finished Benden

It’s finished! The yellow monstrosity (as I started calling it over the weekend) is bound off! Now it just needs to be blocked. Which is an undertaking in itself as it involves dragging the clothes steamer out since it’s an acrylic yarn (Caron Simply Soft).

Summer 2012

It is the first week of my summer ‘vacation’ and it’s great. I definitely need the relaxation time after the end of the semester which was beyond hectic. I am working on campus over the summer, at the library, so I’m not totally free, but it’s nice. And I get knitting time at the desk. :)

Finals, Socks, Shawls, etc.

Well, I have one more final on Wednesday morning at 8am. For psychology. Fun…

Anywho, I have been doing a little bit of knititng, but with finals, I’ve been swamped. I’ll finally have some time to get some knitting (and spinning!) done in the coming weeks. Maybe I’ll even update regularly again! What a novel idea!

Catching Up

As it is the end of the semester, things are both winding u and winding down. The time for classes is running out, but more and more work is being piled on.

On the knitting front, things have of course slowed down due to my course work. I’m doing my best to knit and spin every day, but some days I just can’t get around to it.

I just realized that it’s been a while since I posted. Unfortunately with school, things are a little crazy. I think I’m going to go to a Sun, Wed, Fri schedule with added posts in between. I seem to do better when I have reminders more than once a week to write.

Spinning!

I learned to spin over the weekend! I am beyond thrilled. I’ve been wanting to learn for a while now and I was lucky enough to find someone who will give me a lesson. I ordered a drop spindle and purchased some fiber from my teacher and off I went to Manchester on Saturday to learn.
